It's time for hiring and healing.

With the firing of Mike Tice as MN Vikings head coach, owner Zygi Wilf continued to place his stamp on the franchise. In addition to hiring a new coach, Wilf will be looking for a new personnel director to serve as the de facto general manager.

For the coaching job, I'm sure many names will be thrown around over the next couple of weeks, including various Minnesota "heroes" (or "heroes" sons, like Mike Grant.)

For this article, I'd rather not focus on the hunt for the new coach, but the hunt for the new porsonnel director/general manager. I think the person who would be extremely qualified for that job, being that he really knows the organization, would be none other than Mike Tice. Yes, that's right, Mike Tice.

Now that Mike has been fired, it's time to get him hired! Wouldn't it be great if Wilf, who just fired him as head coach, quickly rehired him as personnel director?

Why have I become such a HUGE Mike Tice fan? Think about it. If he doesn't get hired soon, this domain will be worthless! Zygi, please help a brotha out! If Tice gets a job at a McDonalds or something, no ones going to care about the "FireMikeTiceFromMcDonalds.com" domain.

Now everyone chant, "Hire Mike! Hire Mike! Hire Mike!"

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- The Minnesota Vikings fired coach Mike Tice after Sunday's victory over Chicago.

The team announced that owner Zygi Wilf would not renew Tice's contract less than an hour after the Vikings' 34-10 win over the Bears in the regular season finale. Tice, who finished his fourth full season with a 32-32 record, had already addressed the media before the move was made public.

His tenure was mostly marked by streaks and scandals, with a $100,000 fine levied last summer against him by the league for scalping his Super Bowl tickets and a wild boat party during the team's bye week this season that produced misdemeanor charges for four players.

After starting 2-5, the Vikings won six straight before losing two in a row to fall out of contention for the playoffs.
