It's Tice's fault that offensive linemen were arrested

For Mike Tice, nothing can go right by me. I'm Buddy Grant and I know problems when I see'um.

I think its Tice's fault that Bryant McKinnie and Marcus Johnson were arrested. If he had any control of his players, this never would have happened. If the players respected him, this never would have happened. If Buddy Grant were head ball coach, this never would have happened.

Okay, I'm being a little hard on Iron Mike, he's no Buddy Grant. The Vikings did win their first game of the season and from news reports, it doesn't really sound like McKinnie or Johnson really did anything that should have gotten them thrown in the hoosegow.

I'm old school and I know it's not really Tice's fault that these boys were arrested. I guess I just got caught up in the blame-everyone-but-yourself game. This being said, I still think Tice should go.

Tice can be blammed for many things within' this organization. He was a decent offensive line coach and that should not be taken away from him. Tice lacks the skills necessary to embody a great head coach. Everyone in this state was so quick to jump on the "fire Denny Green" bandwagon, but to tell you the truth, I didn't mind going to the playoffs every year and getting to the NFC Championship now and then.

Tice did not have anything to do with the trade of Randy Moss either, but he did prove to the media and the world that he couldn't control him. When you have a super-talent like Moss, you need to know how to coach him. He did not. No one is "uncoachable", and if you think about it, what did Randy do that was so terrible anyways? Randy Moss has an undeniable talent that only very few athletes possess. Great athletes know when to turn it up and when to turn it down. If Michael Jordan ran around like Mark Madsen does on the court, do you think Mike would have been as dominant. Of course not. We lost a legend in Randy Moss, and we got Nap Harris. It's embarassing to be a Vikings fan... we never seem to make the right choice. I'll always bleed purple, but c'mon WAKE UP!! FIRE TICE!!

Blaming Tice for these types of things shows that you're either extremely ignorant or you have an agenda. Personally, I don't think Tice is a good coach and also don't feel he should last through the bye week, but there has to be some perspective. If you're going to blame the head coach and string him up every time an overpaid, brain-dead athlete does something stupid or illegal, every team would have a new head coach every year!

In case you didn't realize it, the blogger does have an agenda. If one looks at the domain that was used for this blog and name of the blog itself, one might realize that the blogger would be pleased if Mike Tice were fired.

This being said, he might be extremely ignorant as well because he thinks that all NFL coaches and quarterbacks should be white -- Just kidding. ;-)
